Platform: Control of data uniqueness
Platform: Control of data uniqueness
The «Platform: Control of data uniqueness» page is designed to configure the uniqueness check of the list data when adding a new item. Unlike the standard SharePoint uniqueness settings, the Platform settings allow you to check across several fields. In addition, this section configures the behavior of the System in case of violation of data uniqueness.
On the list options page, select «Platform: Control of data uniqueness». The following options are available on the settings page:
- Content type. Allows you to customize for each type of content. If you select the «All content types» mode, the unified data uniqueness check settings will be applied for all content types of the list.
- Use common rules (indicated if individual settings are made for the content type). If you select «No» for the specified type of content, individual settings will be applied.

- List of uniqueness modes:
Ignore uniqueness violation. When saving a card, verification of the uniqueness of the data will not be performed.
Require user confirmation for saving items with non-unique field values. When saving a card with non-unique data, a message about the violation of uniqueness will be displayed with the ability to save a list item.
Don’t save items with non-unique field values. When saving a card with non-unique data, a message about the violation of uniqueness will be displayed without the ability to save a list item.
- Select unique fields. The list fields are indicated, the aggregate of values of which will be used to verify the uniqueness of the data.
