Platform: QR-codes and Watermarks printing settings

This functionality is additionally licensed and is not included in the Platform license price.

 

This block of settings allows you to use watermarks and QR codes when generating print files in Microsoft Word that are generated from templates by converting them into a pdf file without the possibility of correction.

 

Before you begin, you must make sure that the Word Automation Services Proxy and PowerPoint Conversion Service Proxy service applications are configured and running in the Central Administration.

 

On the list options page, select the item «Platform: QR-codes and Watermarks printing settings». The following options are available on the settings page:

  • Enable / disable watermark. Specifies on / off settings in the list. The default value of the parameter is «Off». In this case, the specified settings will not be applied.
  • Enable / disable logging. Defines the on / off recording of information about printing a document with a watermark in the system list «Platform Print Log».
  • Conditions of printing watermarks. Allows you to customize the formation of watermarks when uploading data to Microsoft Word.


 

  • Enable / disable the formation of the QR-code watermark print documents.
  • OR: Watermark pattern. In the watermark template, the template parameters are set, according to which the watermark will be formed:
    [Type field or function | Field Name or Function | Display Format | 2 | Linked URL], where

Type of field or function:

  • F – list field.
  • LF – linked list field.
  • F – function.

    • Function Name:

  • CurrentUser – function of receiving the current user (performing data upload in Microsoft Word).
  • CurrentDate – current date function.
  • IDItemHistory – function to get unique item ID from system history list.

    • Display Format:

  • Field type «Date and time», eg: dd.MM.yyyy H:mm;
  • Field type «User or group» – one of the user account details (Name, Account, Work Email, Mobile Phone, SIP Address, etc.));
  • Field type «Lookup» – the name of the list field from which the substitution is made.

    • Link List URL – relative link list URL.

    Text, references to the field values of the current element, references to field values of related (by substitution) elements, etc. can be included in the template.

    • QR: General settings QR-code watermark formation. Defines the location of the watermark in the generated pdf-file:

     

  • Top left;
  • From above in the center;
  • Top right;
  • Diagonally;
  • Bottom left;
  • Bottom in the center;
  • Bottom right.

    • Watermark settings:
  • Width. Specifies the width of the watermark in pixels.
  • Height. Specifies the height of the watermark in pixels.

    • Text: Enable / disable the formation of a text watermark print documents. The setting is identical to the parameter for the QR code.
    • Text: Watermark pattern. The setting is identical to the parameter for the QR code.
    • Text: General settings text watermark formation. The setting is identical to the parameter for the QR code.
