Platform: User or group

The «Platform: User or Group» type field allows you to select employees, roles, companies and departments from the organizational structure.

The following parameters are available for configuring the column type «Platform: User or Group»:

  • Allow selection of multiple items. Specifies whether multiple values can be entered in the field.
  • Allow selection (indicated if the value of the «Data selection method» parameter is «Select with a dialog box»:
  • Only users. Limits selection in the field to users only.
  • Users or groups. Allows you to select both users and groups in the field.
  • Select from (relevant to the method of selecting the data «Select with a dialog box»):
  • All users. Allows you to select any user in the field.
  • SharePoint group. Limits the selection of users to the specified group.
  • Show field. Specifies the field from which users and groups will be displayed.
  • The way data is selected:
  • The choice of the organizational structure. This mode allows you to select employees, roles, companies and departments from the organizational structure in the field. The data in the dialog box will be presented in the form of a tree:

  • Selection with dialog box. This mode allows you to select the site users and SharePoint groups in the field. The data in the dialog box will be presented in a standard table form:

  • Allow selection (it is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is equal to «Choice from the organizational structure»). Allows you to limit the selection of data in the field:
  • Employees. Allows you to select employees in the field from the organizational structure.
  • Divisions. Allows you to select in the field units from the organizational structure.
  • Companies. Allows you to select Companies from the organizational structure in the field. «Company» means the division of the organizational structure of the top level.
  • Roles. Allows you to select roles from the organizational structure in the field.
  • Restrict data selection (it is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is «Choice from the organizational structure»). Allows you to limit the choice of employees to a specific department or role:
  • Select only from unit. Allows you to select employees in the field only from a specific division of the organizational structure.
  • Select employees with a role. Allows you to select employees in the field from the organizational structure only with a specific role.
  • Filter list items (it is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is equal to «Choice from the organizational structure»). Allows you to customize filtering conditions for field values depending on another field of the same type. In this case, the field on which the filter is configured must be multiple.
  • Show hierarchy when opening selection dialog (it is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is equal to «Choice from the organizational structure»). Determines which tab will be active in the selection dialog. When the «Yes» value is selected, the «Hierarchy of divisions» tab is displayed. If «No» is selected, the «List» tab.
  • Hide empty roles (is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is equal to «Method of data selection»). Allows you to hide to select roles in which there are no users.
  • Cache group members (is indicated if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is equal to «Choice from the organizational structure»). It includes the use of the cache, which allows you not to receive data on the composition of groups with each relevant request. If the parameter is enabled, the data on the composition of the groups obtained at the first request is used.
  • Use autocomplete. Allows you to configure the automatic completion of the input value in the field.
  • Default value. The default values that will be displayed on the creation form can be selected:
  • Not. The value in the field will be empty.
  • Current user. The field will automatically be filled with the name of the current user.
  • The role of the current user manager (the value is available for selection if the value of the «Data selection method» parameter is «Select from organizational structure»). The field will automatically be filled with the name of the role of the head of the current user.
  • The main unit of the current user (the value is available for selection if the value of the parameter «Method of data selection» is «Choice from the organizational structure»). The field will automatically be filled with the name of the main unit of the current user.
