Integration of organizational structure with external data sources

The System provides the ability to integrate the organizational structure with external data sources, which consists in regular automatic import of the organizational structure from the xml file, which is formed on the basis of data from the external system (1C) in the required format (the requirements for the xml file structure are described in the document «Requirements for the import of the organizational structure of 1C»).

If the automatic import of the organizational structure is configured, manual changes will be lost during the next import. In this case, all changes in the organizational structure must be made to the data file that is used during automatic import.

Setting Up an Organizational Update

To customize the organizational structure update task in the Central Administration, go to the «Manage organizational structure update tasks» page in the «Platform Management» section:

To add a job click «Add item». In the open form, fill in the details:

  • «Title» – job title;
  • «Import method»;
  • «Site» – site on which it is necessary to update the organizational structure;
  • «The path to the file» – organizational structure file path;
  • «Condition» – enable or disable task execution.

Setting up a schedule for updating the organizational structure

To customize the schedule for updating the organizational structure in Central Administration, go to the «View Task Definitions» page in the «Tracking» section. Open the «Platform: Organizational Upgrade» task page and specify the required frequency and time for the task:

In order to avoid an increase in the load on the System, it is recommended to configure the update to be performed during off-hours.
