Platform Update item
The «Platform Update item» workflow action is derived from the «Update item» action in Nintex Workflow. The «Platform Update item» action implements the same functionality as the «Update item», but at the same time it has additional capabilities embedded in the platform.
In the workflow designer, add the action «Platform Update item» and go to its settings. In the form that opens, the following parameters are available:
- Update item. Allows you to select an item to update:
- Update the current element. If you select this mode, the update will be performed for the item on which the workflow is running.

- Update the element received on ID. When this mode is selected, the update will be performed for the item whose parameters are specified:
- — List. Allows you to specify a list containing the item to be updated.
— Item ID. Allows you to specify the identifier of the item being updated.
- Update item received on content type. When this mode is selected, the update will be performed for the item whose parameters are specified:
— ID or Server relative url or Title item. Allows you to select a text variable containing the identifier, address or name of the list in which the item being updated is located.
— Content type. Allows you to specify the type of content that contains the item being updated..
— Id item. Allows you to specify the identifier of the item being updated.
- Additional options. Allows you to configure advanced update parameters:
- Disable ItemEventRecivers. If the parameter is set to «Yes», then all system operations that are performed during the update will be disabled for the item.
- Run by System Account. If the parameter is set to «Yes», the item will be updated on behalf of the system account. If the parameter value is «No», the item will be updated on behalf of the user who launched the process.
- Do not create a new version of the item. If the parameter has the value «Yes», then the parameters of the author of the change and the date of the change will not be updated in the item.
- Set a field 1. Allows you to set a new value for the specified field.
This action allows you to simultaneously update several fields of the specified list item.
