Assign Multiple Tasks


Add action


Use context menu or action toolbox to add Assign Multiple Tasks action to workflow scheme.

  • Click on the area with (Edit) icon on the scheme and:
  • Select category User Interaction;
  • Choose Assign Multiple Tasks.
  • In action toolbox:
  • Select category User Interaction;
  • Drag and drop Assign Multiple Tasks action to the area with (Edit) icon on the workflow scheme.

Configure action


Open action configuration dialog to edit action properties:

  • Open action context menu on the scheme and choose Edit;
  • Or double click the action on the scheme.

Property Description
Title Defines action title.
By default the title is action type name.
Task
Participants Defines task assignees.
Lookups are available for this property.
Title Defines task name.
Lookups are available for this property.
Description Defines task description.
Lookups are available for this property.
Due date Defines task due date.
Lookups are available for this property.
Content Type Content type defines a set of columns available to select as Outcome field and Task item properties.
Only content types of the task list which is selected in workflow settings are available for this property.
Outcome field Defines field which contains outcomes of the task.
Only fields of type Choice are available for this property.
A list of fields is defined by Content Type.
Choices Defines possible outcomes for the task.
Default Outcome Defines default outcome of the task.

Assinment Behavior Defines how tasks will be assigned – all at once or sequentially.
Wait for task competion If set to Yes, the workflow will stop until the tasks are completed.
If set to No, the workflow will continue to the next action after the tasks are created.
Assign a task to each member within groups If NO, the tasks will be assigned to groups specified in Participants.
If YES, individual task will be assigned to each user of the groups specified in Paricipants.
Completion Criteria Wait for all outcomes and choose the most popular outcome. In case of several outcomes with the same number of answers, the first outcome will be applied.
Related Item Lookup to the current workflow item.
Initial email
Initial email Subject of the initial email.
Lookups are available for this property.
Body Body of the initial email.
Formatted text. Lookups are available for this property.
Reminder email
Send reminder email If enabled, the reminder emails will be send.
Frequency Frequency of the emails.
Recurrence Number of the emails.
Subject Subject of the reminder email.

Subject Subject of the cancellation email.

Body Body of the cancellation email.
Formatted text. Lookups are available for this property.
Outcome
Task outcome Variable in which the outcome will be stored. Only variables of type Text are available for this property.

Assign tasks sequentially and wait for responses from all assignees:


Assign tasks in parallel and wait for the first response:


In case of sequential assignment the next task will be created only after completion of previous one.

In case of parallel assignment with “Expand groups when assigning tasks” enabled the personal tasks for all group members will be created at once.
